TY251 flash rust inhibitor is formulated from a blend of various organic compounds and inorganic salts. It provides a certain level of flash rust inhibition for different substrates and is suitable for a variety of metal substrates, including iron, cast iron, and carbon steel. It offers good compatibility with coating systems and is a highly effective flash rust inhibitor that does not affect the drying rate of the coating or its adhesion to the substrate, while also improving the coating’s rust-preventive properties.

Product Features:

• Forms an insoluble, dense oxide film on the metal surface, preventing anodic dissolution and thereby inhibiting metal corrosion
• Rapidly adsorbs onto the metal surface, covering active sites to reduce contact with corrosive media, while forming a dense, strongly adherent organic film that blocks the penetration of corrosive ions
• Suitable for use in various systems, such as water-based acrylic and water-based alkyd resins

Usage method:

• It is recommended to add this product during the final stage of water-based paint preparation.
• To address flash rust, the recommended addition rate is 0.1–1% of the total formulation.
• To inhibit flash rust on welds, cast iron, and carbon steel, the recommended addition rate is 1–2%.
