TY291 anti-flash rust inhibitor is formulated from a blend of organic polymers and organic compounds, providing excellent protection against flash rust on a wide range of metal substrates. It is suitable for various metal substrates, including iron, cast iron, and carbon steel. It is highly compatible with coating systems, does not affect the drying rate of the coating or its adhesion to the substrate, and enhances the coating’s rust-preventive properties.

Product Features:
- Organic compounds can adsorb onto metal surfaces, forming a hydrophobic film that isolates the metal from corrosive media, thereby inhibiting metal corrosion.
- Polar groups in polymers can chelate with metal ions to form a precipitate film of insoluble chelates that covers the metal surface, inhibiting metal dissolution.
- The long-chain structure of polymer molecules, through intermolecular entanglement and cross-linking, forms a multilayer, network-like adsorbed film on the metal surface, enhancing the barrier effect and inhibiting metal corrosion.
- Suitable for use in various systems, including water-based acrylic, water-based alkyd, water-based epoxy, and water-based polyurethane coatings.
Usage method:
- Recommended for addition during the final stage of water-based paint preparation
- To address flash rust, the recommended addition rate is 0.5–2% of the total formulation.
