Water-in-Water Multicolor Coatings
Advantages: Excellent stone-like effect, highly realistic, indistinguishable from genuine stone.
Disadvantages: Smooth surface lacks texture.
Natural Stone Paint
Advantages: Textured finish, high cost-effectiveness
Disadvantages: Inferior stone imitation effect; natural marble-like patterns cannot be replicated due to reliance on natural colored sand as raw material.
Water-in-Sand paint combines the strengths of both, offering the textured feel of natural stone paint alongside the stone-like effect of water-in-sand coatings.
We analyzed various factors causing instability in the continuous phase viscosity of protective gel liquids and proposed countermeasures. We specifically developed protective emulsion stabilizer ST-3 to ensure long-term anti-gelation and viscosity stability (the foundation for multicolor coating stability). ST-3 also incorporates components that perform hydrophobic surface modification on the protective emulsion, similar to the organic modification of bentonite. This modification plays a crucial role in stabilizing color particles (preventing fusion and color bleeding). Base Coat Stabilizer ST-2 specifically shields base coats (including color coats) from factors that cause thickening after protective emulsion gelation. It also significantly enhances color particle stability against high-speed shear. At 1300 rpm, particles only shear into smaller fragments without causing overall coating failure.
