What are the advantages of water-based sand-textured paint? Can it replace natural stone paint?

We previously analyzed why water-based sand-textured paint can replace natural stone paint products based on its simulation effect. Today, we'll continue by sharing insights on crack resistance and breathability:

Due to its formulation, natural stone paint typically uses less than 120 kilograms of mid-to-high-grade emulsion per ton. This results in limited weather resistance, causing cracks to form relatively quickly under natural thermal expansion and contraction. In contrast, water-based sand-filled multi-color paint typically uses around 200 kg of emulsion per ton. After drying, the emulsion forms a complete film, offering 80% higher crack resistance than natural stone paint.

A drawback of natural stone paint is its sand-wall formulation, which provides some breathability. However, due to insufficient emulsion content, the colored sand particles cannot form an effective film. Combined with excessive coarse sand, this creates a risk of water penetration through the coating. The advantage of water-based sand-filled multi-color paint lies in its sand-wall formulation, which offers breathability. With limited sand content and uniformly sized, fine colored sand particles, the film achieves both breathability and waterproofing properties after curing.

Therefore, water-based sand-filled multi-color paint possesses unparalleled advantages, and its market prospects are highly promising!
