When rust appears on color steel/metal surfaces, using a metal rust stabilizer not only solidifies the rust with a single spray but also forms a waterproof protective film, stopping further rusting of the metal/color steel.

Rainfall, environmental factors, and prolonged use can all cause varying degrees of rust and corrosion on metal (color steel) roofs. Without timely intervention, the corrosion of color steel panels will gradually worsen, eventually leading to rust-through and leaks.

If rust has already formed on color steel/metal surfaces, how can it be quickly addressed to prevent further corrosion?

Using a metal rust sealer is an excellent solution. Color steel contains high iron content, which reacts chemically with acids, alkalis, or organic solvents to form iron(III) oxide—commonly known as rust. Metal rust stabilizers not only chemically react with existing rust to convert it but also form a waterproof protective layer on the metal surface. This layer isolates the metal from moisture and humidity, reducing further corrosion caused by rainwater.

Application Method:

For mildly oxidized substrates, no rust removal is necessary. Moderately oxidized surfaces require sanding to remove loose rust. After preparation, apply the stabilizer by brushing, spraying, or immersion directly onto the rusted surface. Once dry, apply primer and topcoat. Treated components achieve surface dryness in 2-4 hours at room temperature, with full cure within 24 hours. (Adjust application schedules based on actual environmental conditions during use. Lower temperatures or higher humidity will prolong drying times. Ensure complete paint film dryness before proceeding to subsequent steps.)
