The quality of epoxy color quartz self-leveling floors depends strictly on process control. It is a heavy-duty flooring system where performance is determined by precise physical operations rather than just raw material quality.
1. Substrate Preparation and Priming
The concrete base must be treated with heavy-duty shot blasting to reach a pull-off strength of over 1.5MPa. A high-penetration primer is then applied to seal the pores. This prevents air from escaping during the resin’s curing process, which is the primary cause of pinholes and delamination.
2. Precise Mixing and Dispersion
The system combines graded quartz sand with modified epoxy resin. Using a high-shear mixer is essential to ensure every grain of sand is fully wetted. At Enze Chemical, we have optimized the wetting and dispersant components in our finished systems. This lowers the viscosity of the mixture, allowing for better flow during application and preventing color inconsistencies caused by uneven sand distribution.

3. Spreading and Air Release
During spreading, the mixture must maintain a consistent thickness. Since the sand particles can trap air, the defoaming properties of the resin are critical. Our finished products include rapid-action air-release components that force micro-bubbles to the surface before the resin sets. This ensures a dense, solid structure that meets high compressive strength standards.
4. Mechanical Polishing and Compaction
Once the coating reaches the pre-cure stage, power troweling or manual compaction is required. This mechanical pressure forces the quartz sand into its densest state. This process is what gives the floor its extreme Mohs hardness and wear resistance, enabling it to withstand heavy forklift traffic for years without surface failure.

5. Protective Coating and Quality Inspection
The final step is applying a high-performance topcoat. This layer seals the micro-gaps on the surface, improving stain resistance and chemical durability. The finished floor must show a uniform texture with no visible joints or defects. Enze Chemical’s epoxy color quartz solutions provide a reliable technical framework to ensure that every project meets professional industrial standards and aesthetic requirements.
