Coating additives are considered an important component of coating products. They can improve production processes, enhance product performance, enhance coating application performance, and reduce environmental pollution. Although the relative proportion of most additives used in coatings is relatively low, they often play a crucial role in improving and enhancing the performance of coatings and coating films, and are therefore increasingly receiving attention from industry professionals. In some products, they have even become indispensable.
Based on their applications, additives for water-based coatings can be broadly categorised into wetting and dispersing agents, defoamers, rheology modifiers, etc. Although the current status and development trends of each type of additive vary, they generally share the common goals of achieving better performance, lower costs, and greater environmental friendliness.
Our company's independently developed dispersant 2513 is a polyacrylic amine salt dispersant designed for solid particles in various water-based systems, offering excellent wetting and dispersing effects. It improves the storage stability of coatings, enhances gloss and flow properties, and effectively enhances the water resistance of paint films with good dispersibility and low dosage. It demonstrates excellent dispersion performance for various inorganic pigments and fillers such as titanium dioxide, talc, calcium carbonate, zinc oxide, lithopone, kaolin, and ultramarine.
Foam inhibitor NXZ, a metal soap-based foam inhibitor, is applied to latex and emulsions used in water-based coatings, as well as adhesives made from latex or emulsions. It exhibits superior foam inhibition performance for various latexes and emulsions. It exhibits superior defoaming and bubble-breaking effects, particularly for polyacrylate-based and polyvinyl acetate-acrylate-based emulsions.
Leveling agent 2020 is a high-molecular-weight polyester rheology modifier. It is suitable for water-based coatings and industrial paints made from various emulsions, improving flow, leveling properties, and preventing splashing during application.
