Product overview:  

TY231 anti-flash rust inhibitor is formulated from a blend of various organic compounds, organic polymers, and inorganic salts, and provides excellent protection against flash rust on a wide range of metal substrates. It is suitable for various metal substrates, including iron, cast iron, and carbon steel. It is highly compatible with coating systems, does not affect the drying rate of the coating or its adhesion to the substrate, and enhances the coating’s rust-preventive properties.

Product Features:

• The polar groups in the polymer can chelate with metal ions to form a precipitate film of insoluble chelates that covers the metal surface, thereby inhibiting metal dissolution
• A large number of polymer segments align in a specific orientation on the metal surface and intertwine with one another, forming a continuous, dense organic film that blocks the diffusion of corrosive media to the metal surface, thereby inhibiting metal corrosion
• It forms a dense oxide film on the metal surface, hindering the ionization of metal ions and thus slowing down metal corrosion

Usage method:

• Recommended for addition during the final stage of water-based paint preparation
• To address flash rust, the recommended addition rate is 0.5–2% of the total formulation
